As our Assistant Store Manager, you'll assist the Store Manager to effectively lead and manage the store team to achieve sales goals and profit growth in accordance with Nike Brand at Retail. Your functional area will be determined by the Store Manager and business needs. You'll provide and ensure an in-store culture that brings the Nike Brand to life at retail through rewards and recognition. You'll execute service strategies that reinforce a premium consumer experience and connect with communities through Nike-driven service/charitable events. You'll also be responsible for recruiting and hiring top talent to ensure a diverse and energetic work environment. You'll lead by example on the sales floor as you deliver sustainable training programs and develop direct reports to meet performance expectations. You'll ensure the store achieves compliance with policy, procedure and legal standards. Furthermore, you'll be accountable for ensuring revenue targets are met in your area of responsibility by monitoring store key performance incentive goals, managing budgeted metrics (such as SG&A, margin, payroll, PTI), monitoring space utilization and maximizing productivity. You'll ensure the understanding of all financial, operational and product reports and proactively utilize them to develop and track business plans, and to communicate key product needs to the Store Manager and appropriate partners. You'll also be responsible for maintaining visual standards (refill, open, closures, toolbox), while ensuring the consistent planning and execution of product flow (markdowns, transitions and DTF). You'll plan upcoming shipments, develop strategies and identify key business opportunities. In addition, you'll monitor market/customer trends and communicate the findings to management and World Headquarters partners.
Requirements for the position include:
- 3+ years' retail management experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field (or 2 additional years' management experience in lieu of a degree)
- Experience in coaching and counseling
- Experience and ability to lead a high level of customer service in a brand retailer
- Proficient in all Microsoft Office products
- Ability to communicate in English
- Ability to recruit, lead and manage a team
- Ability to work evenings, weekends and holidays as needed
- Ability to, with or without accommodation, have the proficient use of both sensory perception/clarity and muscle control/coordination. This may include vision (near, far, color, glare control), hearing (auditory attention, sound localization), speech, strength, agility, dexterity, flexibility, steadiness or reaction time
- Nike retail experience preferred
