The financial analyst position is responsible for analyzing, planning, forecasting, executing, and reporting on the recovery of COIS expenses from the Lines of Business. The analyst will be responsible for developing and maintaining activity based costing models, producing clear and timely communications regarding expenses and charge backs to a variety of groups across the organization. The analyst will act as a liaison between the shared services groups and the lines of business and will effectively communicate costing and cost recovery strategies. The analyst will also be responsible for maintaining and improving the accuracy of activity based costing models.
This position requires a comprehensive knowledge of managerial and cost accounting methods and practices across all phases, including budget planning, reporting, forecasting, and activity based costing and cost recovery.
The position requires a strong mix of excellent interpersonal, communication, analytical and project management skills. The candidate should possess workload management skills and the ability to get engaged in complex assignments and meet tight deadlines. Candidate must be customer focused. Attention to detail is critical.
A successful candidate should also have proven database development skills. Specific technical skills required include intermediate/expert level in MS Access as well as intermediate/expert level in activity based costing models (SAS ABM a plus). The position requires comprehensive working knowledge of various office software products such as Microsoft, Excel, Powerpoint and Word. Hyperion Essbase knowledge is a plus. Five years of practical experience as well as a Masters degree with a major in either business or computer science is preferred. Experience with P/SQL or other ETL tools a plus.
