As a key member of the Engineering team, the Technical Project Engineer interfaces with multiple engineering disciplines, business project management, and Customers. You will be accountable for meeting functional, business, and broad company objectives. You will be challenged with complex technical issues in a dynamic project environment.

Coordinate and provide technical and delivery leadership for assigned projects in the BWR Modifications/ Repair and Services engineering area.

Identify development and new business opportunities supporting business growth initiatives including PWRs.

Define critical technical issues and ensure their timely resolution.

Identify technical risks and develop risk mitigation plans.

Estimate required resources and schedules for proposals and changes to project scope; develop work packages and coordinate outsourced engineering.

Ensure engineering activities are performed in compliance customer, internal and regulatory requirements/procedures, properly documented, and electronically archived.

Review technical reports for quality and completeness.
Qualifications


BS degree and minimum 7 years experience in engineering, technical product development, and analysis.

Six Sigma Green Belt certification (GE employees only).

Desired

Experience as a Project or Program Manager.

Knowledge of BWR / PWR plant operation / safety issues and GEH business operations.

Demonstrated ability to manage multiple demands and changing priorities.

Six Sigma Black Belt certification (GE employees only).

Demonstrated leadership skills including at least 2 years of experience as a lead or lead contributor on a major (>$1 million) project.

Excellent oral and written communication skills including customer interface experience.

Prefer ability to start immediately upon hire (within 60 days). General
