John Deere Waterloo Works is seeking a Quality Engineering Supervisor for the 7000 product line to manage and supervise a quality group which includes: Quality Engineers and Technicians within a unit's Quality, Quality Engineering or Engineering Department. In this position, you will:

Formulate/facilitate quality plans for new product within the factory Product Delivery Process Teams (PDP) and Order Fulfillment Process Teams (OFP).
Directly manage staff of OFP and PDP Quality Engineers and Wage Quality inspectors and technicians including: Performance Management, Skill Development, Coaching and Succession Planning.
Direct participation and quality leadership on the Product Line Management Team (PLMT) for PDP and OFP. Manage "Quality Integration" EPDP sub process. Lead the PDP -/+ 6 process.
Interact with Manufacturing Engineering Supervisor, Business Unit Managers, and PLMT platform leader meet business quality requirements.
Work with Business Unit QIT resources and process. Initiate projects and monitor execution and closure through quality engineering staff.
Manage quality resources plans for new product and current product changes.
Be responsible for Product Quality Audit and assure rapid and effective corrective action.
Be responsible for Quality Plan development and execution.
Manage quality budget.
Initiate, monitor and facilitate closure of corrective action.
Ensure proper management of quality inspection and audit resources.
Participate in Design Reviews for quality driven design changes.
Development and Audit of quality manufacturing processes.
Be responsible for warranty improvement as measured with low hour and 1st year warranty.
Participate in developing new PV&V plan.
Perform platform risk assessment and phase evaluation as part of cross functional team.
Manage quality projects and initiatives within the Business Unit.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Business/Management/Engineering/Technology/Science or related discipline.
Advanced Degree Preferred
Required Skills and Experience

Experience in one or more related engineering areas: quality, design, manufacturing, and reliability,
Experience in Quality Management: planning, control and improvement.
Experience in planning, organizing, and implementing engineering projects.
Project management experience.
Supervisory experience, which includes placement, work direction, coaching, and performance management.
Experience leading and developing teams.
Knowledge of capital budgeting and capital equipment justification process.
Knowledge of standard quality tools such as FMEA (Failure Modes Effect Analysis), SPC (Statistical Process Control), Root Cause Analysis, Statistics.
Understands the impact of quality on lean manufacturing.
Knowledge of International Standards Organization (ISO) requirements.
Knowledge of advanced data gathering and analysis techniques, including statistical analysis.
Effective writing skills, including grammatical usage, persuasive copy and style.
Desired Skills and Experience

Certified Quality Manager, Quality Engineer, Six Sigma Black Belt.
Direct experience with Order Fulfillment Process delivering complex assemblies.
Direct experience with Produce Development Process phases 3-5.
