The XNA Community Games Platform team is the team that built XNA Game Studio, which enables a vibrant community of hobbyists, academics, and small, independent game developers to easily create games on Windows and the Xbox 360. Check out and to see what we've enabled.
However, this is just the beginning. Do you want to pioneer a new viral, social networking site that could join the ranks of sites such as Flickr, MySpace and Facebook? Do you love and play video games? We're staffing up a new team to define and shape our charter of enabling creators to share their user-created content for games. Your focus will be needed to help build and test the right pieces for a robust user-created content platform. This will include understanding the game creator and game consumer as customers, the API and SDKs for our platform, and engineering robust server side components.
As an SDET, your responsibilities will include going technically deep to ensure that we are delivering solutions that meet our customers' needs. You will be expected to think through key user-generated content end-to-end scenarios and work with the UX, Dev, and PM teams to build exit criteria to ensure that we are addressing them. Responsibilities will include the need to drive the project test results through strong test methodology and effective automation. Additionally, you will be expected to engage with our creator and customer communities to ensure we are building the right ecosystem.
Candidates should have at least 3 years of testing experience, plus a track record of shipping quality software. You should have expertise in a few of the following: web application testing, web-services, web technologies (AJAX, JScript, DHTML, XHTML, XML, HTML, CSS), C#, and database testing. Highly desirable skills include a technical coding background in developing product or test automation, strong communication skills, problem solving skills, and ability to own projects/feature to resolution. BA/BS in computer science or related field or equivalent experience desired.
