As our Software Quality Assurance Manager within Enterprise Services, you'll lead a team of QA professionals responsible for the Enterprise Services shared services Software Quality Assurance (SQA) process. You'll coordinate and manage quality test efforts, provide written and verbal assessment of test results and provide leadership in all aspects of the quality assurance process. You'll be responsible for developing effort estimates for writing, executing and reporting test results based on technical artifacts. You'll need to understand business requirements in order to create and maintain test plans, test scripts and test data that will ensure the new or revised system meets business requirements. You'll need to exercise your client relationship, leadership and influencing skills to provide project management for your team's quality and testing deliverables by ensuring they are appropriately scoped, understood, staffed and delivered. Your team will be responsible for test execution, defect reporting and resolution of both project and production support initiatives. You'll provide cross-functional leadership relative to complex quality assurance issues throughout the project development lifecycle. You'll also be responsible for coaching and mentoring your team. You'll establish, monitor and review QA timelines, budgets, deliverables and other quality project management-related artifacts. In addition, you'll collaborate with a cross-functional team chartered with defining and implementing sustainable SQA best practices and standards for Enterprise Services and e-Business.
Requirements for the position include:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science or a related field
- 2 years' additional experience in lieu of a degree
- 6 years' IT or business experience
- 4 years' quality assurance testing experience
- 2 years' experience in a supervisory/lead role, including implementing QA processes and standards in an SAP environment
- Experience developing master test plan strategy
- Experience authoring comprehensive business and IT scenario-based test plans and test scripts, including supporting test data plans
- Strong team leadership, client relationship and communication skills
- Solid project management skills in order to manage QA and testing-related work on projects
- Familiarity with PMI project management practices
- Experience with iterative software development methodologies (e.g. RUP)
- Experience with testing web-based applications is strongly preferred
- Experience implementing and utilizing automated testing process tools is preferred
- Experience with the Mercury Test Suite is preferred
- Development experience with Java, .NET and the UNIX environment is a plus
- Ability to pass a 7-year background investigation
