Job Overview:
ATMI is looking for a Manager, Web Development to join our cutting edge technology team.
In this role you will be building mission critical, web-based business applications that drive our new product development and customer relationship management processes. The Manager, Web Development will be responsible for deploying productivity tools that help ATMI better collaborate across the globe. The current web environment is MS SharePoint 2007 and .NET.
The qualified applicant will lead development of web applications including ATMI's external website and intranet site. The desire to learn a broad range of technology is necessary since team members will be learning new business areas and dealing with new technology in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. This position will manage up to 3 people. This position reports to the Director, Information Systems and is located in our Danbury, Connecticut office.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Work with business leaders to gather requirements and educate them on web capabilities for internal and external website development;
• Design systems and estimate development efforts;
• Manage multiple web development projects to meet scope, time and cost requirements;
• Manage cost center budget and assigned team;
• Work with Marketing Communications on graphic design to create visually attractive web pages;
• Lead the effort with management to define a web structure that can be easily navigated;
• Design web hardware and software architectures;
• Determine the network bandwidth required by the web servers;
• Ensure teams follow SDLC process and document user requirements, system designs and user guides;
• Manage domain registrations;
• Manage system security to keep web content and internal systems secure;
• Build procedures for web site maintenance;
• Follow standard change management processes;
• Apply comprehensive indexing and search functions to the web sites;
• Set and enforce web coding and design standards;
• Perform code reviews and approve changes prior to publishing web content;
• Analyze web logs and report results;
• Ability to travel up to 25%.
Education and Experience:
• BS required. Computer Science or EE degree preferred;
• 5+ years of software development experience;
• 10+ years of overall IT experience;
• Knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint development strongly preferred;
• Experience with Oracle RDBMS;
• Experience with SDLC methodology;
• Proven experience working with web development and architecture;
• Experience in managing multiple projects;
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
• Experience going through the entire development lifecycle including requirements gathering and documentation, design, testing, training, implementation and maintenance;
• Must be able to work independently;
• Must be able to manage and lead a team.
