John Deere Dubuque Works is seeking a Facilities Engineer to plan, coordinate and perform facilities project and maintenance engineering work for facility infrastructure, production equipment and processes of moderate to large scope. In this position, you will:
Provide technical, cost, and project leadership primarily for electrical engineering and maintenance engineering projects.
Develop and manage expense and capital budgets.
Provide engineering design and project management for the infrastructure for the facility, grounds, and production equipment and processes through both internal and external resources. (Projects are of medium to large scope and complexity).
Research market for qualified suppliers of materials and services.
Seek competitive and negotiated sources for materials, equipment, and services for maintenance and new construction projects.
Prepare purchase orders for management approval.
Develop and implement energy conservation and safety projects.
Education
BS degree in Electrical Engineering / Technology. Electrical Engineering degree preferred.
Required Skills and Experience
Two to ten years experience in electrical engineering design and building codes in an industrial environment.
Two to five years experience in industrial Project Management of $25K to $3M projects.
One to five years experience in managing and/or developing project and department budgets.
Skills in AutoCAD / FactoryCAD, Microsoft Word / Excel / Projects, and/or other engineering tools.
Background in Facility Engineering, Maintenance, or Construction.
Desired Skills and Experience
One to three years experience in Facility Engineering / Maintenance Engineering or Supervision / Manufacturing Supervision.
Power distribution design experience.
Controls and PLC (Allen Bradley, etc.) experience.
