Description :
The Manager of Security and Emergency Preparedness, under the general supervision of the Administrative Director of Corporate Support Services, serves as a liaison to the Security, Emergency Preparedness, MIBH affiliates, Local Law Enforcement, and other departments within the MIBH organization. The focus is to provide leadership, supervision, and overall direction to the Security & Emergency Preparedness Departments. This position assumes direct responsibility for providing the hospital with a safe and secure environment for staff, patients, and visitors through the implementation of security programs, training and education of staff, development of new policies, and the enforcement of organizational policies and procedures in the Security and Emergency Preparedness.
Education/Qualifications:
An Associates degree in business or related discipline.
An equivalent to an Associates degree amount of credits obtained in pursuit of bachelors’ degree or
5 years of direct managerial or supervisory experience may be substituted for a completed degree.
Experience:
5 years of management or supervisory experience in a Security or Law enforcement agency, as well as all practical experience surrounding every aspect of Security and Emergency Preparedness.
Licensure/Certificates:
Valid NYS drivers license.
NYS Security License.
ICS 100, 200, 700, Certificate. ISC / NIMS 800 preferred but optional
