As our Production Manager, you'll provide leadership and direction to efficiently manufacture and deliver quality products that meet the needs of Nike In-House Manufacturing customers worldwide. You'll plan ahead to meet upcoming production demand requirements and ensure on-time product delivery. You'll adjust staffing levels to ensure required production capacities are reached. You'll also establish and maintain manufacturing systems/processes to warrant on-time delivery of quality products at the lowest possible cost. This opportunity also involves setting production standards and monitoring daily, weekly and monthly production and quality targets. You'll ensure targets are met or countermeasures are taken to improve deficiencies. You'll also provide daily leadership for Department Supervisors and help them set appropriate work-related goals. In addition, you'll complete and deliver employee reviews, establish developmental opportunities, and work closely with the Training department to identify training needs for Supervisors, Leads and Production Associates.
Requirements for the position include:
- Bachelor's degree in a technical or business-related field
- 3 years' experience in a high-volume manufacturing supervisory role
- 5 years' additional experience in lieu of a degree
- Ability to work long hours in a high-stress environment supporting a 24-hour/7-days-per-week operation
- Experience with lean manufacturing principles
- Experience with plastic in various processes and forms
- Intermediate-level proficiency with Microsoft Office software
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to conduct formal presentations to staff members and management
- Strong team-building skills, with a concentration on employee development and growth
- Ability to drive change within a production environment
