This position will have responsibility to support the key component and materials buy for the Aero Energy business. Primary duties include:
* Develop Sourcing strategies for assigned components, materials, and commodities relative to cost, quality, and fulfillment.
* Use knowledge of forecast, projected needs, supplier capacity, inventory goals and lead times in order to buy material in a timely manner at the lowest total cost for the business.
* Manage major purchasing assignments with limited supervision.
* Perform all steps in the buying process with a passion for accuracy and service.
* Manage relationships between GE and suppliers, with highest ethics.
* Reconcile discrepancies between supplier shipments and contractual obligations.
* Interface with Engineering, Manufacturing, Field Personnel, and other internal customers to expedite and resolve customer issues.
* Work with Supplier, Accounts Payable, Finance, Receiving, and Project Manager to drive on time supplier invoice resolution and maximize payment discount for GE.
* Drive Sourcing initiatives including Deflation Savings, and LCC.
* Drive Six Sigma rigor in day-to-day tasks to ensure key business metrics are achieved.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree (Business or Technical preferred).
* Minimum 3 years Sourcing or Supply Chain experience.
* Possess Oracle or MRP system experience.
