As our Retail Merchandise Operations, Senior Business Systems Analyst/Data Modeler, you'll help deliver IT business solutions, at the right time, for the right processes and in the right way (globally, consistently, efficiently, reliably and responsibly), to enable optimal performance for Nike Retail. You'll create and maintain a collaborative partnership with Retail IT engineering teams, Retail Business Units and 3rd party vendors that will enable you to resolve issues and define requirements for enhanced processes and systems. You'll be responsible for delivering data design with diverse accountabilities in a retail-specific environment. You'll also be responsible for performing system and data analysis; providing data models and data mapping; creating context and process diagrams; documenting business requirements, functional specifications and business and system use cases; and working with business users to document business rules, business metadata, and stewardship needs. You'll influence and communicate with business partners on the vision of our Retail systems at a strategic and tactical level. In addition, you'll participate in executing master data management and metadata management tools and strategies at Nike retail.
Requirements for the position include:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science or a related field
- 5 years' experience in an IT environment
- 2 years' additional experience in lieu of a degree
- 3 years' experience in a Business Systems Analyst role, leading requirements definition, design documentation, use case development and analysis of system behavior
- 1 year of data modeling experience (ERWIN preferred)
- Experience with retail business processes/practices and retail application systems, with an emphasis on merchandise operations
- Project implementation experience
- Expert-level communication skills, both verbal and written
- Experience in building and maintaining vendor relations
- Analytical, organization and communication skills, along with the ability to work with business partners, vendors and senior management
- Dimensional and operational design experience is preferred
- Familiarity with package solution (ARTS) is preferred
