Overview
The Windows TV test team is looking for a candidate who possesses the drive and technical ability to ensure consumers are met with a first class TV experience.
Primary responsibilities include:
Working across Development, Program Management, and Test to maintain a high level of quality for assigned feature areas
End-to-end ownership of test coverage and automation for assigned features areas
Working with Beta Testers to increase product quality and coverage
Providing feedback into the functional and technical designs of new features
Writing test plans that show technical understanding of the feature under test
Reviewing and driving quality into product and test code
Acting as customer advocate in bug triage
The successful candidate will have:
A minimum of 2 years experience in C, C++, or C#
An understanding of software development processes
Experience authoring test plans and an understanding of test methodologies and test best practices
The ability to debug and root cause failures in test and product code
The ability to communicate both verbally and written to different audiences internal and/or external
Four or more years of experience authoring automated tests and test coverage
BS/MS in Computer Science/Engineering, Mathematics, or Physics
