Overview :
This position performs shipping, receiving and related transactions. Supports stores inventory, packaging, and picking to fulfill customer orders.
Responsibilities :
Perform a variety of tasks associated with shipping and receiving associated with the manufacture of ultrasonic therapy equipment. Specific tasks may include the following:
* Examine shipment contents and compare with records such as packing slips, pick lists, manifests, invoices, or orders, to verify accuracy of incoming or outgoing shipment.
* Prepare documents, such as work orders, bills of lading, and shipping orders to route materials.
* Determine shipping method using knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates.
* Record shipment data, such as weight, charges, space availability, and damages and discrepancies, for reporting, accounting, and record keeping purposes.
* Contact carrier to make arrangements for shipping and delivery of materials.
* Confer and correspond with carrier and/or supplier representatives to rectify problems, such as damages, shortages, and discrepancies in general.
* Requisition and store shipping materials and supplies to maintain inventory of stock.
* Pack, seal, label, and prepare materials for shipping, using hand tools, power tools, meters, etc.
* Maintain stores inventory. Issue and receive parts. Pick kits. Inventory transactions.
* Performs material handling tasks such as restocking and cycle counting.
* Provide assistance in other areas as needed and directed.
* Retrieves procedures from corporate database.
* Responsible and accountable for carrying out the requirements of the company's quality system.
Qualifications :
* Must have previous Shipping and Receiving experience (2-3 years).
* Familiarity with international shipping nomenclature, policies, and regulations a plus.
* Previous experience in the medical device industry.
* Able to work with minimal supervision.
* A self-motivated and meticulous individual, able to work in a team and small company environment.
* Must effectively communicate and have the ability to read and comprehend written instructions.
* Must have excellent work ethics, personal responsibility, initiative, and teamwork.
* High school diploma or equivalent.
* Basic conversational and written English.
* Basic math: add, subtract, multiply, divide, fractions, percent etc.
* Basic computer skills. Experience with ERP systems.
* Experience handling and working with chemicals.
* Able to lift and carry a minimum of 50 lbs. with or without accommodations.
* Ability to work standing or walking for an entire shift.
