Posted: Aug 01, 2008 Responsibilities

*Provide operational and design support for New Product Introduction (NPI) programs, engineering (facility and process) and gas turbine (GT) manufacturing to execute facility and process improvements in support of program and business schedule requirements.

*Create technical specifications for industrial plant utility substations (4180VAC - 13,800VAC), switchgear, medium voltage starters and distribution, low voltage motor control center and control systems.

*Provide technical direction for installation, startup, maintenance, repair, training and modification on power transmission, distribution and generation equipment and systems.

*Working in matrix organization, develop process controls that optimize electrical savings for a multi-facility site.

*Manage scheduled maintenance of low to medium voltage systems.

*Operational support of 24/7 full speed no-load test facilities.

*Support business initiatives such as Six Sigma and Lean manufacturing.

Qualifications

*Bachelors degree in Engineering or technical field.

*5+ years additional operational and/or design experience in low to medium voltage distribution and control in heavy industrial manufacturing operations.

*2+ years experience with medium to high voltage products.

*Green Belt certified (GE employees only).

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:

*18 years of age or older.

*Willing to take a drug screen and submit to a background investigation as part of the selection process.

*Have unrestricted authorization to work in the United States.

*Related turbine manufacturing or heavy machining experience.

*Operations Management Leadership Program (OMLP) or similar training program graduate (GE employees only).
