The Pricing Specialist / Cost Estimator is responsible for defined work or projects with moderate complexity. Follows an individual work plan and meets day-to-day short-term objectives. Has the ability to resolve issues through immediate action or short-term planning.
* Develop strategic and tactical pricing points in conjunction with the marketing plan.
* Analyze the cause and effect of pricing decisions in the market place and provide recommendations on pricing.
* Analyze customer acceptance of new products and pricing of same.
* Develop and maintain a competitive pricing base.
* Coordinate forecasted costs and set standard costs.
* Proactively value price relative to competitive products and product performance.
* Establish and coordinate cost and price breakouts with partners.

Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma/GED with at least 4 years of experience in a marketing position).
Desired
* Able to read and understand customer requirements, blueprints, specifications and instructions.
* Proactive, self-starter, analytical and technically competent individual with an ability to perform detailed work.
* Ability to demonstrate effective verbal, written and presentation skills and can work with all levels of employees, customers and vendors throughout an organization.
* Advanced computer literacy with Microsoft 0ffice and an expert in the Excel application along with MS office products. Proficient with CAD and solid modeling applications (Keycreator, Unigraphics or Solidworks).
* Efficient project management skills and able to effectively manage multiple assignments.
* BS degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) preferred.
* Established analytical and problem solving ability.
* Strong oral and written communication skills.
* Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
