PLEASE NOTE: This position is a Part Time/Job Sharing arrangement-work hours will be approximately 20 hours/week.



John Deere Waterloo Works is seeking a Warranty & Reliability Analyst to gather and analyze warranty data. In this position, you will:

Analyze data to identify opportunities for warranty reduction and product improvement the Drive Train Division.
Recall defective parts and assemblies from dealers and investigate problems; coordinate delivery of these items and direct them to the appropriate resources to disassemble and inspect.
Work with Deere's Technical Assistance Center (DTAC) to pinpoint root causes of problems and to gain more information.
Report findings to manufacturing engineers, quality engineers, product engineers and quality improvement teams for them to resolve problems.


Education



B.S. in a Mechanical, Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering discipline highly preferred or equivalent experience.





Required Skills and Experience



Experience in a manufacturing environment.
Strong data analysis skills, familiarity with statistics.
General knowledge of mechanical power transmission components such as transmissions and axles.
Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).





Desired Skills and Experience



Experience developing databases, expertise in MS Access highly preferred.
Working knowledge of mechanical powertrains such as axles and transmissions.
Working knowledge of steel and cast iron machining processes.
Experience making formal presentations to management and peers.
