Overview :
The Order Control Analyst is responsible for performing all day-to-day operations involving sales orders for wholesale, retail and internal customers. Responsibilities include communicating with 3rd Parties as well as internal and external departments. This position acts as part of a team to effectively manage the inventory and distribution of products for Medicis Pharmaceutical Corp.
Responsibilities :
Collect, verify and process purchase orders received from Customer Service department or electronic data information (EDI) system.
Process sales force sample shipments.
Research order discrepancies discovered prior to shipments delivering reported by all parties.
Upload confirmation file, generate invoices and distribute appropriately.
Organize order transmission file to be sent to warehouses.
Review Open Order Report and Back Order Report and resolve issues or open orders as necessary.
Communicate with 3rd parties regarding open issues; provide timely follow-up as needed.
Maintain policies and procedures relating to all tasks position is responsible for.
Maintain Held Orders log and follow up on all open items related to order processing.
Match up all paperwork received from the warehouse related to the sales orders and file.
Provide reports and statistics on a monthly and quarterly basis for all job responsibilities.
Provide back up for peers in the department when necessary.
Work on special projects as assigned.
Overtime is expected.
Qualifications :
Two to four years related experience and/or training in a directly related position.
Proven knowledge of one or more of the following: inventory control, returns processor and/or warehousing is highly desirable.
Ideal candidate must have excellent leadership qualities as well as exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
Candidate must have the ability to perform extensive data entry quickly.
Strong Microsoft Word and Excel skills are required.
