Senior Marketing Manager, Global Channels Consumers are the largest and fastest growing segment of Windows Mobile and smart phone users. The MCB Channel Marketing team is looking for a talented senior marketer to lead our retail sales training strategy that targets consumers globally. This role is primarily focused on developing and leading our global field training teams, building supporting infrastructure and driving innovative end-to-end marketing programs that will drive sales conversion and loyalty in our major operator and retail channels. This is a high profile component of our retail marketing efforts and is supported by investment in field training resources in all our major geographies. This is an opportunity to build a best practice, drive a growing global operation, though one of our most influential channels. You will be able to be visible and entrepreneurial in one of the largest growth opportunities for Microsoft. Your work will make a difference. Strategic responsibilities include: * Lead the global retail sales and training strategy to win consumers. * Oversee global markets development of field retail training teams, including recruiting and on-boarding, market and account coverage guidance and operational efficiencies. * Develop a rhythm of the business for the global training teams including, competency assessment, soft skills development, content / resources management, goal setting and reporting. * Lead the WW channel marketing teams to successful training execution through effective virtual teaming and shared objective setting. * Develop creative and compelling programs that drive recommendations and strong loyalty among retail sales professionals * Own the internal awareness and visibility of the global Instructor led training program through senior management reporting and executive reviews. * Develop cross-company relationships and partner closely with Microsoft's Entertainment & Devices Retail Group, Product Management and Marketing to leverage cross-group resources and efforts. Candidates must have the following demonstrated abilities: * 5+ years of experience in business management, product, channel, training or end user marketing with a proven track record of developing global business plans and strategy, operational execution processes, program implementation, and measuring impact. * BS or BA in Business, Marketing, or Finance. MBA is highly preferred. * Creative ability to develop business plans and frameworks that help simplify a complex channel and drive better channel marketing decisions and execution. * Ability to be self-directed including defining processes and establishing milestones to get to a defined goal on a specific date. * Proven ability to develop effective presentations and present to an executive audience. * Demonstrated ability to develop productive relationships cross-group, cross-division, and with international teams. * Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, very energetic environment with global scale. * Energy and a passionate desire to positively impact millions of customers around the world - as well as the confidence to believe you can. * Knowledge of the mobile device industry, international markets, and retail channel marketing are major pluses, but not essential. We are looking for people who want to take charge, lead and be rewarded in a highly visible and challenging role. Some travel may be required.
