The John Deere Construction & Forestry Division is seeking a Forestry Product Marketing Manager to provide strategic planning and market analysis for Tracked Harvesters and Forestry Attachments (i.e. Waratah harvesting heads, etc.) to drive fact-based decision making, globally. In this position you will: Be responsible for worldwide product planning & market analysis for forestry product lines to promote disciplined, fact-based decision making. Develop and execute marketing for the assigned forestry product lines in collaboration with other sales & marketing functions. Compile and present strategic product line plans, portfolio plans and business reviews to Construction & Forestry (C&F) senior management. Represent sales & marketing interests as a core member of the product line management team (PLMT). Provide marketing input to product specifications and new product development projects. Work closely with customers. Organize & execute customer advocate groups and other key Customer events to ensure strong voice of the customer input into C&F Product Development Process. Work closely with dealers, field personnel and other functions to provide product expertise and build enthusiasm & support for selling the product. Work with Marketing Management Team to manage the sales, marketing and support projects and initiatives to achieve product market share and price realization objectives. Lead the Product Information Team to define the product line value proposition, assess competitive standing, and generate/manage the product information required to support field and Deere internal needs. Education Bachelor's degree in an Engineering, Business or Marketing discipline, or equivalent experience. Advanced degree preferred. Required Skills and Experience Strong technical background, with an understanding of technical and product issues. Strong conceptual, planning & analysis skills. Extremely good capability to summarize results of analysis and prepare presentations to communicate these results within the organization. Ability to use Microsoft Office suite, with advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint. Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal. Must be a self-starter with a high level of self-discipline. Willing to travel approximately 25%. Must have excellent project management skills. Desired Skills and Experience 10+ years of experience in capital goods. Working knowledge of forestry and construction equipment. Previous experience in a marketing and/or sales position. Experience working with customers and/or dealers.
