John Deere Credit was founded to offer financing solutions to the industries we serve and the customers we know best. In addition to providing retail, wholesale and lease financing to help customers buy John Deere equipment, we also serve the broader needs of the agricultural industry by offering revolving credit, input and operating loans to help farmers purchase needed supplies and services. John Deere Credit has also recently entered the renewable energy arena with a business unit that focuses on community-based wind projects. John Deere Credit is looking for a Sales Associate in the Agricultural Financial Services Division to assist in the sale of John Deere Credit (JDC) products by providing internal tactical, marketing, and analytical sales support to Ag Financial Services Regional and Area Sales Managers. Other responsibilities include: Assist Regional and Area Sales Managers in development, implementation, and success of strategic and tactical sales plans. Develop and maintain relationships with Area Sales Managers, Deere & Company personnel, merchants, and customers. Support Area Sales Managers in the selling of John Deere Credit products to assigned merchants by assisting with program implementation, pricing, conversions, sales campaigns, and territory coverage as needed. Develop and maintain appropriate relationships with key customers and business partners to aid in achieving strategic business goals. Utilize weekly and monthly reports to assist in assessment of customer potential, opportunities, and sales activity. Provide regular analysis to Regional and Area Sales Managers of sales activity tied to regional plans and sales metrics Utilize on-line tools and knowledge of competitive product and market developments, to research, analyze, and assist in assessing prospective merchants and existing merchant potential. Assist in the development and coordination of sales projects as assigned by sales management. Education: Degree in a Business/Management discipline or equivalent experience. Skills/Qualifications: Knowledge of dealers/merchants/alliance partners, finance programs and products. Successful negotiating and selling skills. Knowledge of industry markets, products, competitors, customers, and distribution trends. Understanding of credit products or services and policies. Good interpersonal, negotiation and conflict resolution skills. Knowledge of credit acceptance practices. Marketing experience. Sales experience, preferably within a John Deere unit or division. Up to 25% travel required.
