Position : Senior Network Administrator

Description :
Overview Murphy, McKay is seeking a senior network administrator to be responsible for administrating core infrastructure connectivity. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge and experience in protocol, systems, storage, and troubleshooting solutions within a complex, multi-site environments. This position requires 10 years extensive knowledge of networking (TCP/IP), LAN/WAN systems, WAN protocols, MPLS, VPN/SSL solutions, and Carrier Support. Extensive knowledge with Cisco equipment, ability to troubleshoot and utilize monitoring tools and be well versed in applying security solutions. Requirements Perform analysis, installation, maintenance, and upgrades of infrastructure components Setup and coordinate the installations or changes of world-wide area network circuits, campus-wide networks, components, and upgrades Implement best practices, procedures and guide others in the implementation of networking best practices Provide Level 3 network troubleshooting and problem solving Lead the effort to identify trends of network problems and coordinate cause and effect analysis efforts Develop the strategy and policies for system security, as well as identify and address known network vulnerability, create network disaster recovery policies and work closely with geographies to execute major elements of initiatives such as system installation Cisco certification Requires approximately 5 - 10% travel
