The Automotive Business Unit (ABU) is the group focused on in-vehicle infotainment; maximizing productivity and entertainment while driving! Our strategic platform, Microsoft Auto, is designed to be deeply integrated into passenger cars & trucks and enable a wide range of valuable driver and passenger experiences. We work with World Class Automakers and Tier 1 suppliers such as Ford, Fiat, Hyundai-Kia and Continental. ABU is looking for a strong leader to help drive Microsoft's interests in the in-vehicle space. As the Director of WW Marketing for ABU, you will be responsible for understanding the business group's three year growth plan, and then help determine the strategy for making the growth a reality. As part of the ABU leadership team, you will partner with the Embedded, Mobile and Zune teams as a participant in business planning discussions, to intuitively understand the business and the critical success factors. This expertise will then be utilized to determine the tactical steps necessary to achieve the desired business objectives. As a key player in ABU, your range of responsibilities would include the following: 1) Drive the strategy that will deliver the stated business growth goals. This includes driving the annual Strategic Review. 2) Determine the right product strategy for ABU. This would include influencing the right product mix, pricing, SKU's etc. Complete a comprehensive and cohesive licensing and pricing structure to execute on our global offerings as we scale the business. Develop a deep understanding of not only the current business but the direction the business in moving in coming years in terms of new products and new markets. 3) Ensure consistency in our marketing efforts and act as conduit for cross group collaboration. Manage the global budget and spend. 4) Liaison with both the WW Sales teams and the Engineering teams to build greater efficiencies and productivity into the business cycles. 5) Manage, motivate and lead a team of 6 - 12 marketing, product management and planning IC's.
