Role: The successful candidate will participate in the development effort of our enterprise software within the Data Quality business unit of Informatica. Their main focus will be as part of a dedicated effort to further develop and enhance our address validation capabilities as part of the next generation release of our Informatica Data Quality product. Candidates at this level are expected to contribute to the open problem solving environment actively. The candidate will be responsible at a feature level for delivering, in a timely manner, well tested, scaleable and robust components. Primary Responsibilities: Design technical solutions to product features. Take end-to-end responsibility of projects and follow-through with other teams working on the project to ensure high quality and predictable delivery of features. Produce functional specifications and designs based on specific feature requirements from Product Manager and other teams. Implement, unit test, and bug-fix well-defined functionality that satisfies stipulated requirements. Provide detailed cost estimates of projects and meets project schedules. Regularly suggests enhancements to existing product that contributes to product goals. Provide functional, design, and code reviews in related areas of expertise. Review QA test specifications and feature documents. Mentor and coach other engineers in the area, as required. Communicate across features and components within the product. Interacts with cross product groups. Conducts talks/demos within team. Required Skills: Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering / Computer Science or equivalent Minimum of 5 years of relevant industry experience Excellent problem solving, analytical skills and technical troubleshooting skills Object oriented design and programming. Experience developing address lookup software or enhancing solutions from third parties Experience developing real-time ("pick list") address lookup solutions Strong data structures and problem solving skills. Excellent C++ programming skills. Experience of CPPUnit/JUnit or other unit testing tools. Experience of Revision Control software such as Perforce, or CVS Good organization, communication and interpersonal skills. Experience in the full product lifecycle. Experience of XML, UML, Databases. Keen interest in software technologies. Experience of Multiple UNIX platforms. Experience in developing either Windows / Unix cross platform software or Unix based software Desirable Skills: Solid experience in development of multi-threaded systems. Understanding of component-based development. Good foundation in data structures and algorithms. Knowledge of networking, distributed systems.
