The Commercial Real Estate group provides construction, acquisition, bridge and mini-perm and mezzanine financing to developers, investors and professional real estate owners. CRE currently services a $28 billion loan portfolio Credit needs of clients typical range from $3MM to $100MM and take form of single bank, multi-bank and syndicated transactions. The CRE Associate Bankers are responsible for supporting the CRE Relationship Managers on underwriting, due diligence, renewals, reviews, modifications, extensions, new business requests and identifying cross sell opportunities while actively supporting and monitoring existing portfolio. Will work with the IRE Admins to coordinate the closing process and faciliate appropriate construction monitoring. In CRE, 75-175 relationships through the Relationship Manager with average loan commitment size of $350-450MM. The Associate Banker will work on both single bank and syndicated loan deals. The complexity of the deals will be greater. Monitor the borrowers performance on a quarterly basis to determine if downgrading is needed. 75% Credit and Operational Risk: Responsible for upfront analysis (projection/sensitivity modeling), due diligence, structuring, credit sheets, and annual reviews, criticized assets while actively participating/supporting RM's (loan structuring and loan closings) in the credit approval process. Also assist with loan documentation and closings. 15% Business Development: In conjunction with the RM, continually review the client's business and financials to explore cross-sell opportunities (treasury management, lease, international, institutional asset management, and capital markets opportunities). Update IMPACT system with pipeline and referral activity, relationship strategies and call memos. Up-tiering relationships and positioning team as a Trusted Financial Advisor: Provide analytical support on business development presentations, debt rate analysis, acquisition capacity analysis, shareholder value analysis, capital structure analysis, and financial models. 10% Monitor Existing Loans: Monitor reporting requirements such as quarterly financials, borrowing base information, compliance certificates, and guarantor information. Construction loan monitoring of existing loans and delinquencies. Maintain bank credit files. One-three years of financial service experience. Degree in finance, business or commercial real estate. Understanding of credit underwriting with superior client service skills. Strong communication skills. Strong analytical skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and remain organized. Solid ability to learn quickly and understand the broader picture while remaining diligent on tactics and execution.
