Mobile is hot, hot, hot with smartphones being the fast growing segment out of the 1.2 Billion phones shipped each year. Are you a great strategic thinker who can get things done? We are looking for a strategic thought leader to drive the current and long-range pricing and licensing strategies for Windows Mobile. To be a great candidate, you should have demonstrated capabilities in strategic thinking, deep analysis and an ability to effectively lead cross-group teams to drive innovative new business models. Your strategic responsibilities include: o Creating innovative pricing and licensing strategies that effectively leverage market and technology trends in the mobile handset industry and then leading their implementation including customer messaging and communication for our sales teams. o Collaborating with our sales teams to understand and incorporate customer feedback in the design of our pricing and licensing. o Understanding competitive and industry pricing and licensing models to gain insights into how Windows Mobile can provide the best value proposition for our customers. o Presenting and driving decisions on Windows Mobile pricing and licensing strategies to senior leaders within Microsoft and customer companies. o Working closely with other Mobile Communications teams including Engineering, Finance, Marketing and Sales to achieve the above. This position requires strong strategic thinking, great analytical ability, deep customer/market insight trend spotting, demonstrated cross-group leadership and a drive for results. This role also requires exceptionally strong communication and writing skills. Qualifications include a minimum of 10 years of strategic consulting and/or technology marketing experience. An Engineering or Business degree with a concentration in Business Management, Finance, or Marketing is ideal; MBA preferred. Experience in Microsoft pricing and licensing systems is strongly preferred. Experience in the mobile phone market is also a plus, but is not necessary. Some travel may be required.
