The WGX Technology team is an agile development team focused on making it easier for developers to deliver the next generation of great games across all gaming segments. The team is chartered with providing a single gaming solution for games ranging from casual (like you find on MSN Games) to AAA core titles (Games for Windows - LIVE). We're looking for strong software design engineers to help continue delivering the vision of Connected Entertainment. Come help us enable new cross platform multiplayer game categories while simultaneously improving the overall experience for all types of games and gamers. We are looking for a senior engineer to own and innovate our core technology infrastructure in future versions of Games for Windows - LIVE software. Responsibilities include owning the network stack, design and implementation of fundamental components used to log on to Xbox LIVE and Windows Live ID servers, design and implementation of lower level components relating to messaging, achievements, friends requests, matchmaking, game invites and more. If you are passionate about gaming and would like to work with a great team of engineers, this is the job for you. A successful candidate must have: * Strong development skills in C/C++ * Networking background * Desire to work on "core" or "lower level" code (vs. UI, for example) * A deep understanding of multi-threaded systems and Windows debugging * Excellent communication and collaboration skills * Extremely high integrity. * A thirst for growth and striving towards engineering excellence * A passion for following and understanding the gaming industry as a whole Additional qualifications include a minimum of 6 years of development experience. A BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent work is experience is preferred.
