Evaluates samples for quality of construction, functionality, safety and adherence to HSN's standards and applicable regulatory requirements and makes appropriate recommendations. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Evaluates samples for quality of construction, functionality, safety and adherence to HSN's standards and applicable regulatory requirements and makes appropriate recommendations. Substantiates validity of product's claimed features and benefits. Works closely with vendor and Buyer to ensure understanding of QA Requirements and resolution of issues. Ensures accurate and detailed documentation of QA evaluation reports and dispositions product status in a timely matter. Works closely with the on-site manager in the coordination of on site inspections. Evaluates and assesses issues reported via the customer feedback tools. Works closely with Fulfillment Quality Assurance to ensure calibration of product quality expectations and provides direction on issues related to quality stoppages. Ability to deal effectively with buyers, vendors and others at all levels in a high visibility area of the company. Ability to understand and interpret technical documentation. Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Combination of Experience and Training. 2-4 years in Retail or Quality Environment. Effectively and professionally communicate oral and written information, using tact and diplomacy as appropriate. Ability to prioritize and work with limited supervision in order to meet deadlines and achieve desired results. Ability to perform detailed work, analyze data make logical and unbiased business decisions in a professional manner, including necessary follow through. Ability to deal effectively with buyers, vendors and others at all levels, in a high visibility area of the company. Able to travel domestically; potential for overseas travel. Preferred Requirements: Accredited Jewelry Professional (AJP) accreditation through Gemological Institute of America (GIA). Certified Quality Improvement Associate (CQIA) through American Society for Quality (ASQ). Proficiency in the use of jewelry inspection tools. Must be able to use optical equipment to distinguish color and surface finish defects. (Jewelry) Experience in a jewelry sales environment.
