John Deere Agriculture Equipment is seeking an Specialist Instructor to develop and deliver various training programs with a Cropping Systems and Farming Solutions emphasis. In this position, you will: Create and deliver product training that will focus on Ag Management Solutions (AMS), Seeding/Planting, Spraying and Tillage. Conduct sales training and assist in some service and parts training delivery. Train in a classroom setting with opportunities to deliver course via of Distance Learning Classes. Audiences will be John Deere employees, channel partners and customers. Education Bachelor or Master's degree in an Agriculture related field, or equivalent experience. Agronomic coursework preferred. Required Skills and Experience Strong agronomic background. Demonstrated farm machine operation skills, ideally with Precision Farming technology and equipment. Understanding of training and development practices in activities such as instruction, needs assessments, curriculum development, and other such related training. Previous marketing and/or sales experience with and understanding of selling practices. Willingness to travel and deliver training in various John Deere Training locations (up to 75% travel required). Ability to use standard desktop load applications such as Microsoft Office plus intranet and internet functions. Desired Skills and Experience Experience with cotton crops and harvesting. Certified Crop Adviser (CCA) or Certified Professional Agronomist (CPAg) Certification. Previous experience instructing or training students on agronomic issues and solutions via classroom and/or distance learning.
