John Deere Parts Distribution Center in Milan is seeking a Facilities Engineer to provide analysis to determine the types and configuration of storage locations and overall layouts. In this position, you will: Recommend changes based on analysis and lead subsequent installations. Identify, develop and implement best practice improvements throughout Parts Division facilities Lead project teams toward the definition and implementation of new processes. Develop reports and monitor various metrics to insure continued improvement at Milan, Indy, the Depots and Regional Distribution Centers. Maintain SAS programs containing storage logic used to generate part relocation move tickets used by Special Projects department. Maintain DNS no-prime locator program logic to coincide with changes taking place in warehouse. Coordinate revisions with parts systems. Education Bachelor's Degree in Engineering/Technology or equivalent experience. Required Skills and Experience Facilities renovation/expansion experience. Experience optimizing labor productivity through layout and technology. Effective utilization of storage density experience. Warehousing and distribution experience. Project management experience. Experience leading multi-functional teams with operational performance objectives, timeline and budget constraints. Project Execution and Innovation skills. Problem Solving & Analysis skills. Fostering Teamwork skills. Desired Skills and Experience Experience with SAS programming. Experience using AutoCAD. Basic skills using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Project).
