John Deere Agricultural Equipment Division is seeking an Engineer to coordinate and implement the activities that prepare and test tractors for Continuous Improvement projects and data collection to define tractor performance. This includes tractors from 40 PTO Hp up to 500+ engine Hp. In this position, you will: Implement projects related to the above using the Enterprise Product Delivery Process (EPDP) to ensure that tractor product program goals are met. Lead in the resolution of product-line based difficult technical issues for continuous improvement whether within the company or with outside suppliers. Exchange necessary information with other functional groups, including monthly updates to management. Develop and track continuous improvement activities. Coordinate collection and analysis of tractor performance data. Education Bachelor of science degree in Mechanical or Agricultural Engineering. Required Skills and Experience Knowledge of basic tractor performance. Agricultural background with knowledge of equipment. Good communication and presentation skills as the position works with marketing, engineering, and service to ensure tractors meet defined requirements Desired Skills and Experience Technical experience relating to design/diagnostics of mechanical/electrical/hydraulic systems. Product engineering, design, test, and/or analysis experience. Data acquisition measurements, calibration, and data processing experience.
