John Deere Power Systems (JDPS) is seeking a Supply Management Specialist to lead and support a Strategic Sourcing team with the development and implementation of sourcing strategies, meeting Enterprise Product Delivery Process (EPDP) and Enterprise Order Fulfillment Process (OFP) requirements/goals on product cost, schedule and quality for the enterprise/region/division/unit. In this position, you will: Lead the Strategic Sourcing process for the Electrical commodity group, including: starters, alternators, wiring harnesses and misc. electrical components. Manage the development and implementation of enterprise and divisional sourcing strategies for this commodity, working closely with Product Engineering in Waterloo, Iowa and the John Deere engine and drivetrain factories in Waterloo, Iowa; Torreon, Mexico; Saran, France; and Coffeyville, Kansas.. Negotiate cost reductions, long term agreements and warranty agreements with suppliers on behalf of JDPS. Lead resourcing projects working with product engineering, engine/drive-train factories and suppliers. Lead ePDP projects into the eOFP working with the Tactical Supply Management teams and the factory OFP teams. Education Bachelor's degree in Business/Management, Engineering/Technology, Supply Management discipline or equivalent experience. Required Skills and Experience Communication - both oral presentations and written reports. Ability to present to various internal and external contacts. Solid planning and organizing skills. Analytical - able to work with tools such as: decision analysis, financial analysis, quotes form. Understanding of Engineering and Operational processes. Negotiations - commercial contracts and conflict resolution. Time management. 3 plus years experience in a Supply Management role. 3 plus years experience within a manufacturing environment. Desired Skills and Experience Supply Management experience especially Strategic Sourcing. Knowledge of SAP. Experience with electrical components including: starters, alternators, and wiring harnesses. Work experience in a team environment.
