GRADE LEVEL 9 DOE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Assist CFO in preparing scenarios for possible future rate conditions and overall responsibility of asset/liability management model: a. Development/documentation of assumptions (rates and volumes); b. Comparison of results to scenario analysis; c. Evaluate liquidity position; d. Evaluation of assumptions for reasonableness/consistency; and e. Evaluation of levels and sources of interest rate risk. 2. Coordinate the preparation of annual budget: a. Incorporating interest rate forecasts and volume projections; and b. Enhance the budget process to assist senior management in the process. 3. Perform interest rate risk measurement and analysis functions using an interest rate risk simulation model to measure current and planned exposures of net interest income and capital to interest rate risk. 4. Prepare reports for ALCO pricing which include, but not limited to Balance Sheet and Income Statement forecasts, interest rate forecast, projections regarding interest rate spreads, CAMEL ratios, GAP analysis, and rate shock analysis. 5. Prepare quarterly reports for ALCO meetings. 6. Coordinate automation of reports with ITI system analyst. 7. Assist with reports for senior management and board as needed. 8. Prepare cost/benefit analysis and/or breakeven analysis for various projects assigned by the CFO to include, but not limited to: a. Products, services, programs and departments presently in place and proposed. b. Branch expansion analysis. 9. Prepare ad hoc analyses. 10. Assist with audit related issues and projects. 11. Perform other duties as assigned. ENVIRONMENTAL / PHYSICAL / MENTAL REQUIREMENTS The Financial Analyst performs the major portions of his / her duties by communicating verbally in person and over the telephone with other team members. Although seated much of the time, he / she must be able to move freely all around the bank facilities. He / she must be able to effectively verbally communicate with others. This position may require limited travel to other locations from time to time. MINIMUM QUALIFICATION (EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS) * BS Degree with emphasis in Accounting or Finance. * 4 - 5 years financial analysis experience. * Ability to understand management's business plan and management's assumptions regarding the range of possible future rate conditions for which to prepare. * Successful experience as an analyst using a comprehensive interest rate risk simulation model in a financial institution of similar complexity. * Experience in performing analysis of financial products and services. * Proven skills in organizing and analyzing data as well as meeting deadlines. * Excellent computer skills. * Time management and organization skills essential. * Attention to detail a must. * Strong interpersonal skills. * Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
