GRADE LEVEL 5 $28,145 - $39,734 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Assists the tellers and new accounts to ensure the highest level of quality service is provided to all customers when Retail Branch Manager is out of the office. 2. Interacts with branch customers providing accurate, detailed and complex information about bank products and services and resolving routine customer service complaints. 3. Interacts with the lobby and telephone customers; identifies customer's needs, supplies information and direction; possesses working knowledge of banking products and services, actively participates in cross servicing programs. 4. Open new accounts, such as but not limited to checking, savings, money market, certificates of deposits, IRA's, safe deposit boxes, etc. Conveys referrals to business partners such as Mortgage, VRAC, and Merchant Services. 5. Handles routine customer paying and receiving transactions, such as cashing checks, taking checking and savings deposits, selling cashier checks and traveler checks, processing of bank card cash advances, according to bank guidelines, within authorized limits and with appropriate approvals. 6. Involved in processing night drop deposits, logs in under dual control, per approved bank guidelines; processes and validates various transactions. 7. Responsible for ordering and shipping currency in accordance with the bank limits and assisting other tellers in selling currency and other duties as necessary. May need to provide leadership when needed in the teller area. 8. Obtains appropriate identification; processes necessary paperwork and date entry materials. 9. Assures all banking compliance standards are met and attends required training. 10. Obtains job enhancement courses twice per year. 11. Performs other duties as assigned. ENVIRONMENTAL / PHYSICAL / MENTAL REQUIREMENTS The Senior Customer Service Representative performs the major portions of his / her duties by communicating verbally in person and over the telephone with other staff members and our customers. Although seated much of the time, he / she must be able to move freely all around the bank facilities. He / she must possess the ability to accurately read and inspect for errors or fraud, checks, cash, reports, computer printouts, delivery and billing forms, letter and papers containing important financial instructions. He / she must be able to verbally communicate with mathematical equations. Due to date entry responsibilities this individual must possess full use of both hands and have excellent close vision. The Senior Customer Service Representative must possess the ability to quickly assess danger to themselves, coworkers and or customers and act responsibly within bank security guidelines. QUALIFICATIONS * 1 - 2 years prior commercial bank experience, preferably in a community bank demonstrating an excellent comprehension of current banking regulations required. * 1 year lead experience preferred. * Demonstrated organizational and leadership skills with the ability to effectively set priorities to ensure meeting strict and changing deadlines required. * Demonstrated computer knowledge and proficiency required. * General knowledge of commercial bank operations, including various regulations requirements. * Attention to detail essential. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required. * Familiarity with Deposit Pro documentation software desired. * Familiarity with ITI software desired. * Ability to recognize cross-selling opportunities required. * High School Diploma or equivalent required.
