Position : Vendor Management/Business Continuity Specialist

GRADE LEVEL 6 or 7 DOE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Primary contact with vendors. Facilitate tracking and regular communication with vendors and business owners as it relates to service deliverables, pricing, invoicing, reporting, issues and initiatives. 2. Coordinate and oversee the planning, documentation, and testing of Viking Bank's business recovery efforts and plans. 3. Work effectively with accounting, vendor and product/business owners. 4. Perform tracking and reporting of service deliverables, pricing and budget. 5. Ensure proper processing procedures are being followed as outlined by our Vendor Management Program. 6. Provide data and input for forecasting and track costs to budget guidelines. 7. Ensure that all key service delivery objectives are met by taking an active role in continuous improvement of service delivery processes and in maintaining and improving contractor quality. 8. Evaluate, maintain, develop and implement business continuity and crisis management strategies, plans and procedures. 9. Develop and implement response and recovery plans. 10. Reviews and evaluates risk assessment, business impact analysis plans and planning proposals and materials/regulations from local, regional, state and federal agencies. 11. Perform BCP testing and report to the Board of Directors. Track remediation as a result of testing. 12. Assist in Business Continuity training bank wide. 13. Remain knowledgeable of operations, systems and Bank initiatives to effectively provide support within other areas of Bank Services and front desk support, as needed. 14. Performs other related duties as assigned. ENVIRONMENTAL / PHYSICAL / MENTAL REQUIREMENTS The Vendor Management/Business Continuity Specialist performs the major portions of his / her duties by communicating verbally in person and over the telephone with vendors and other team members. Although seated much of the time, he / she must be able to move freely all around the bank facilities. He / she must be able to effectively verbally communicate with others. This position may require limited travel to other locations from time to time. QUALIFICATIONS * Associates Degree or equivalent operational experience in a banking related field preferred. * 2 years Vendor Management experience preferred, including business operations and contract management. * Excellent analytical and organizational skills and an ability to work independently. * A working knowledge of accounting functions as it relates to invoicing desired. * 2+ years of operations and/or Incident Management experience and/or 2+ years experience in Business Continuity planning preferred. * Experience in conducting Risk Assessments desired. * Team player with demonstrated strong interpersonal skills and ability to build effective working relationships throughout all levels of the bank required. * Superior communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively address all levels within the bank required. * Ability to solve related problems in a logical manner required. * Strong planning and organizational skills and an ability to handle multiple priorities required.
