Release Manager Our client is looking for a Release Manager to manage the overall process of publishing Product Development releases. The Release Manager will be responsible for coordinating all releases for the Product Development department. This position will be the single point of contact within this group and must be able to effectively coordinate with Product Development, Platform Test (QA), Operations and other departments. The ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding of software product build/release concepts and practices, project management experience, strong organizational and communication skills, excellent technical know-how, and a drive to always improve the company's ability to publish new releases quickly and accurately. Responsibilities: -Create and manage the overall processes and schedule for software releases associated with company websites, products, intranet and extranet administration systems. -Coordinate localization for new products and features with the localization vendor. -Communicate expected deliverables for software releases to each department. -Coordinate with other vendors and clients as needed for product releases. -Data administration for intranet administration systems. Qualifications: -Thorough understanding of software product build/release concepts and practices. -At least a basic understanding of operating systems, networking, build automation systems, and web and SQL based application architectures. -At least 2 years of software release and/or project management experience. -Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present information effectively to groups. -Strong interpersonal skills, flexibility, and a commitment to meeting deadlines. -Demonstrated ability to achieve results working with multiple teams. -Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities and work toward company goals. -Must be proficient in Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, and Outlook. -Experience with SharePoint is a plus. -Familiarity with the computer games industry preferred but not required.
