Job Title Dental Hygienist - School-based Health Center Category Regional Health Centers Site Status PT Shift Days Description Part time (25 hrs/wk), days Responsibilities: Provides professional prophylaxis including application of topical fluoride and periodontal screening procedures and root planing and scaling according to professional standards of care Takes dental x-rays, develops dental x-rays Provides patient education on dental health and preventive dental care. Under the supervision of a licensed dentist takes impressions for study casts Takes patient medical history from patient and documents in chart. Charts caries and periodontal conditions Minimum Qualifications Requirements: Completion of an accredited dental hygiene program One-year experience as a Dental Hygienist is preferred Must possess a current New York State License as a Dental Hygienist and comply with 15 CME credits every three years No untreatable skin, breathing, allergies/ailments No limited physiological motor skills GRADE 49 SP For more information, contact Human Resources at 607-547-3120
