Job Description: Responsibilities * Prepares job-planning documents that define in the scope of outage to be performed through engineering instructions, drawings, and process instructions. * Liaises effectively with Service Manager utilizing customers' CTQ in job planning and execution. * Provide leadership and technical direction to skilled labor performing work on customer sites. * Maintain strong safety mindset to assure the executed work reflects the technical requirements with GE safety standards. * Knowledge to troubleshoot and provide routine maintenance checkout for wide range of equipment vintages. * Prepare timely and accurate technical reports for customer records and a reference for future outages. * Troubleshoot mechanical operations and maintenance problems in the steam and/or gas turbine technologies. * Provide site management of gas and steam maintenance; understand parts requirements and repairs, financial measurements, craft labor direction and customer service. * Provide technical direction for steam and gas turbine installation activities; uphold GE technical standards and process to ensure quality turbine installation. Qualifications * Minimum of 5+ years field engineering experience on gas and steam turbine technology in a lead or project management role. * Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Minimum 4 years work experience in gas and steam turbine technology. Desired * Degree in mechanical or electrical engineering. * Field Engineering Program graduate of equivalent technical experience. * Project management qualifications and skills. * Controls experience on power generation equipment. * Significant travel (90+%) with no restrictions and must have the ability to perform night work as required to meet business needs. * Able to take long term assignments at customer power plant sites. * Strong organization skills. * Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively. * Must have or be able to obtain a valid driver's license. * Advanced computer skills with Microsoft Office Suite, Project Management Applications, and online applications.
