Explanation Statement John Deere Parts Distribution Center in Portland, Oregon is seeking a second shift Parts Order Scheduler to plan and schedule daily parts orders for warehouse picking and shipping in the most economical and efficient manner to meet carrier deadlines and dealer promises. In this position, you will: Schedule truckloads by batching orders and printing warehouse pick tags based on Daily Stock Order criteria, manpower levels, and carrier departure time. Process, coordinate, and print all necessary bill of lading, EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) transmissions, and mandatory documents to expedite carrier departure. Work closely with the second shift Supervisor to coordinate all warehouse activities based on depot objectives and goals. Education Degree in Business/Management or equivalent experience. Required Skills and Experience Ability to work second shift, as well as weekends, over-time, or holidays as required. Ability to use computer applications, specifically Microsoft Excel and Word. High level of attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to take work direction and work in a team environment. Ability to effectively prioritize tasks in order to meet deadlines.
