John Deere Agricultural Equipment is seeking an Advertising Copywriter to develop and author advertising materials for global Agricultural product lines. In this position, you will: Work closely with tactical marketing to plan and develop advertising campaigns for assigned equipment lines. Write advertising and promotion copy for print ads, sales literature, radio/TV, sales videos, point-of-purchase materials, outdoor, and the web. Plan and supervise field and studio photo and video programs. Coordinate projects from concept to completion. Present advertising campaigns to internal customers. Write into desktop software, such as InDesign and convert data formats for electronic distribution. Work closely with internal graphic designer to develop concepts, advertising layouts, and final electronic files. Education Bachelor's degree in an Advertising, Journalism , Marketing or Business related discipline or significant equivalent experience. Required Skills and Experience Minimum 2 years advertising copywriting experience with advertising agency or in-house marketing communications group. Experience writing a broad range of advertising materials: print, collateral, radio/TV, web, outdoor. Excellent planning, organization, and project management skills. Minimum 1 year experience using In-Design or Quark software. Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills. Willing to travel up to 15% to support projects, both domestic and international. Desired Skills and Experience Agri-business background is a strong desire. Experience writing for both business-to-business and consumer audiences. Well-developed presentation skills. Strong familiarity with MS PowerPoint.
