Seeking an experienced team player with exceptional engineering creativity and interpersonal skills, who desires to exercise engineering technical leadership, mentoring, and program engineering abilities. Successful candidate will interface with customers, suppliers, Balance of Plant (BOP) Project Engineers, and across multiple functions within the business, playing a key role in identifying and successfully completing Balance of Plant equipment and engineering programs.
Provide technical and program leadership for Balance of Plant (BOP) Project Engineering improvement programs and initiatives. BOP Project Engineering provides BOP equipment and detailed design engineering for customers building Aero-derivative GTG based power plants in the 50 to 500 MW range. BOP programs include improvement initiatives and funded programs to:
* Identify and develop new BOP equipment offerings
* Identify and develop suppliers
* Reduce cost in existing equipment offerings and plant designs
* Develop specifications and design practices to improve quality and consistency
* Implement process, procedures, and training to reduce failure costs
* Improve quality and customer satisfaction and drive profitable growth
The Program Leader in BOP Project Engineering will provide leadership and engineering to identify new initiatives and drive current programs to completion. Responsibilities will include formulation and execution of detailed plans to meet program objectives, including technical approach, resource requirements, quality, and budget. Program Engineer will act both as an individual contributing engineer, and as a coordinator of the activities of others including the BOP Project Engineering team, other functions in and outside of Aero Energy, and externally with suppliers of BOP equipment and services.
Qualifications
* BS degree in engineering.
* Minimum 7 years engineering experience with strong technical knowledge of power plant mechanical and electrical equipment and systems.
* Green Belt Certified (DMAIC or DFSS) (GE Internal Only).
* Minimum 1 year experience in a multi-discipline program or project engineering role with demonstrated project leadership experience.
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
* Willingness to travel domestically / internationally up to 10%.
