Responsibilities: Performs prompt, courteous, and quality technical diagnostics and support services for patients and providers throughout the Echocardiography Laboratory experience. Echocardiographer II Mentors students and level I sonographers as requested. Requirements: Eligibility for Cardiac Ultrasound Board Registry within 6 months of hire required. Associates Degree from an accredited cardiac ultrasound program preferred. Board knowledge of general cardiology pathophysiology and diagnostics preferred. Relevant health care experience required. Prior experience as a cardiac sonographer preferred. 3-4 years relevant experience required for Echocardiographer II. Board eligible as a Cardiac Echocardiography Sonographer required. Registration within 6 months of hire required. BLS Certification required. ACLS Certification required. Ability to provide quality cardiac echocardiography services for inpatients and outpatients. Position requires extensive standing, leaning, walking, manual dexterity for probe position with repetitive motions. Must be able to transport rolling echo equipment. Requires lifting and transferring patients frequently.
