John Deere Des Moines Works is seeking a Supervisor - Production Control to direct the planning and scheduling for the most complex and high impact manufacturing and material flow processes for all current production and service parts. In this position, you will: Be responsible for all aspects of supervising Production Schedulers, ensuring part availability, part planning and expediting of production & repair parts. Ensure duties are executed effectively by department schedulers in their area of responsibility. Be responsible for supervising to performance, evaluation, monitoring, training and staffing of personnel in their area. Be responsible for reports, procedures and administration of production schedules, inventory accuracy and record keeping. Interact with Manufacturing Managers and other members of Management to improve procedures and processes to continually improve operations and inventory accuracy performance. Education Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience. Required Skills and Experience Skill in interpersonal communications, negotiation, and conflict resolution. Proven shop floor experience, problem solving and initiating solutions. Ability to resolve issues in a timely manner. Understanding of MRP, operational planning, material flow and inventory control. Demonstrated leadership and mentoring skills. Experience in Common Purchasing System. Experience in ME screens. Strong organizational skills. Desired Skills and Experience Experience training and developing personnel. Project management experience. Experience working within a deadline-oriented environment.
