Yes Date Posted 08/05/2008 Closing Date (Things you should know about closing dates) 09/04/2008 Position Description In support of the Ground-based Midcourse Defense (GMD) Program this position defines, plans, develops, coordinates, integrates and manages performance based logistics requirements for the products and services related to Customer and Boeing training activities to ensure effective introduction, operation, and support of these products and services within the customers environment. Analyzes and resolves training problems to ensure efficient product and/or service operation. Provides training products and services which lead to a lean environment. Coordinates or performs training tasks that lead to an integrated support program. Interacts with internal and external customers, vendors and subcontractors throughout the product lifecycle. Performs research and technical assessments and guides product design. Manages employees and first-level managers performing technical or specialist activities within Product Support. Develops and executes integrated departmental plans, policies and procedures and provides input on departmental business and technical strategies, goals, objectives. Acquires resources for department activities, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements. Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports. Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes. Manages, develops and motivates employees and first-level managers.
