Mobile Communications Business
The Mobile Communications Business Marketing Team is looking for a proven Director-level product management and planning leader to recruit and lead a stellar marketing team to globally launch a first of its kind V1 mobile web service at the convergence interface of mobile communications and Web 2.0. This a very unique opportunity for an experienced top performer to lead a marketing team and own end-to-end product management, product planning and business development for a V1 mobile web service with unprecedented global impact. As the Director of Product Management and Planning on our team, you will lead the overall end-to-end business, marketing and partner development strategy and execution for a V1 mobile web service product
Your key responsibilities will include:
1) Recruit and lead a stellar team of product management and business development professionals
2) Develop, align and drive the product marketing and roadmap strategy
3) Refine and optimize the business model, packaging/pricing strategy, channel design and financial opportunity
4) Develop and execute the overall partner engagement plan including commercial policies, and lead engagement with key Mobile Operator and OEM partners.
5) Develop and lead execution of the go-to-market product launch plan on a global scale
6) Partner deeply with engineering, marketing and sales team to develop an aligned product, communications, and sales execution plan
7) Design and coordinate the requisite operations, business intelligence, and service quality and usage instrumentation to deliver against business objectives.
8) Develop and drive sustained customer acquisition, retention, and monetization plans
9) Partner with engineering and business groups across Microsoft to align roadmaps and coordinate cross/up-sell and promotion plans
Qualified candidates will be able to demonstrate through experience and interviews:
1) End-to-end experience in successfully developing and executing a product launch plan
2) Domain experience in developing, refining, and promoting web or mobile services.
3) Functional experience in product management, product marketing, product planning and partner business development.
4) Professional experience in an entrepreneurial or V1 business capacity
5) Excellent business judgment, strategic insight, and intuitive creativity
6) Excellent people, business, and thought leadership qualities.
Professional Qualifications
The strongly preferred candidate will have an MBA or equivalent Master's level degree, with at least 7 years of product marketing/management work experience in a world-class company within the online or web services industry, part of which in a people management and business leadership capacity
Some travel required.
