Yes Date Posted 08/06/2008 Closing Date (Things you should know about closing dates) 10/06/2008 Position Description The Concurrent Test, Training and Operations (CTTO) Software Integration team has responsibility for the final integration and demonstration of the CTTO system (consisting of many separate products). Specific tasks will include: responsibilty for integration activities between Missile Defense National Team B (MDNTB) sites, installation and troubleshooting of existing applications at various CONUS integration and deployment sites; documentation, unit testing, troubleshooting, and integration; work independently, research, and solve problems quickly and work effectively with software developers; and help establish an automated unit testing capability for the various products developed. Other tasks include: installation and configuration of Windows, Linux and VMware HW platforms from the OS up to the CTTO developed applications; documentation and verification of all installation and configuration steps in documentation to be delivered to the customer; developing installation scripts to automate the system installation; supporting SW integration test runs to verify the system operation; responsibility for implementing all Information Assurance directives on the systems to include running IA scans and developing/updating automated scripts to apply required IA lockdowns and fixes. Strong technical skills are required to include: working knowledge of Java; configuration and operation of operating systems such as Windows XP/2K/2K3/2K7/Vista, Redhat Linux 4/5, and VMware ESXi; skills in distributed systems development and network programming; Information Assurance (IA) policies and procedures and the ability to apply IA requirements to an existing system; and Windows, Linux and VMware system administration. Familiarity with DNS, and LDAP configuration and maintenance. Familiarity with software development required, with object oriented development, distributed systems development and network programming is a plus. The integration engineer will work at the CTTO integration lab in Huntsville, AL, but travel to development sites in Crystal City, VA, and Colorado Springs, CO will be required. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry.
