Evaluates customer/operational needs to define system performance requirements, integrate technical parameters and assure compatibility of all physical, functional and program interfaces. Performs analyses to optimize total system of systems and/or system architecture. Performs analyses for safety, reliability, maintainability, testability, human systems integration, survivability, vulnerability, susceptibility, system security, regulatory, certification, product assurance and other specialties quality factors into a preferred configuration to ensure mission success. Supports the planning, organization, implementation and monitoring of requirements management processes, tools, risk, issues, opportunity management and technology readiness assessment processes. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard. Other Job related information Primary duties include:(1) use of modeling and simulation tools in conduct of operations analysis studies, developing spreadsheet and other models as required., (2) accurately characterizing and studying current and future military rotorcraft operations, especially with respect to survivability and mission effectiveness, to guide decision-making by engineering and business development customers. Ideal candidate: (3) has held Operations Research position(s)., (4) possesses specialized skills / knowledge for evaluation of rotorcraft operations in a future war fighting context, (5) has conducted force effectiveness analysis, trade studies, aircraft survivability and/or mission effectiveness analysis., (6) has working knowledge of operational scenarios, modern / future war fighting concepts & doctrine, TTPs (Tactics, Techniques and Procedures), and implementation of war fighting in virtual and constructive simulation, (7) has working knowledge of player-interactive and/or high fidelity force-on-force military simulations (e.g. ATCOM (Advanced Tactical Combat Model), JCATS (Joint Conflict and Tactical Simulation), Janus), (8) has relevant military background and operational experience that complement analytical skills and knowledge., (9) has had previous interactions with US Army analysis agencies (e.g., AMSAA (Army Materiel Systems Analysis Activity), TRAC (Training and Doctrine Command Analysis Center), Battle Labs). Position requires leadership skills, interpersonal skills, ability to work independently, and light to moderate travel.
