Job Description:
The American Heart Association has an immediate opening for a Regional Director in Fairfield County to manage its premier social events.
Your primary responsibilities will be working with corporations to grow and expand our Go Red for Women Luncheon and the Fairfield County Gala. You will be improving and expanding relationships with existing corporate partnerships, assessing and acquiring new corporate relationships, and increasing participation, sponsorship and key volunteer leadership. Additionally, you will prospect, recruit, train, organize, direct and assist volunteers to effectively initiate and accomplish assigned event campaigns.

Qualifications:
BA degree with a minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in business-to-business Sales and Marketing or Fundraising/Event Management or an AA degree with 5-7 years experience.
Proven skills in field sales, prospecting, cold calling and closing.
Ability to strategize and market the organization to appropriate corporations. Creative and resourceful thinker needed.
Strong familiarity with regional corporations in assigned territory. Prefer candidates have existing corporate client base in assigned region.
Experience and confidence working directly with C-level clients (CEO, COO, VP Mkt.)
Outstanding written and oral communication and listening skills, including presentation and platform skills.
Proven skills with a similar volunteer organization and success in revenue generation and corporate relations.
Strong negotiation, collaboration and relationship-building skills.
Tenacity, persistence, follow-up and follow-through.
Team player willing to provide assistance and support to other Regional Directors.
Strong computer skills.
Exceptional skills in organizing, planning and time management.
Project management experience, including revenue and expense analysis and budget management.
High energy, initiative, discipline, self-motivation, goal oriented.
Outstanding networking skills, evidenced current affiliation with professional or community organizations.
Reliable car and clean driving record.
Willing to travel 75% within the region.
Willing to work evenings and weekends, as events require.
Ability to lift and carry 25 lbs.
