We are looking for a qualified Lead Software Development Engineer in Test to help us in the development of several new applications we are creating for our product portfolio. See http:// [link removed] This Sr. level SDET should have the technical prowess to drive team in automation. The lifecycles for execution are very short, 3-month schedules for deliverables. There will be a lot of hands-on black-box testing/manual testing at first, andwill build on automation from there.
As a member of the Applications test team you will be responsible for both leading and engaging in the end-to-end testing of customer-facing applications we are building for a variety of vertical commercial markets. This will include all aspects of application testing with a strong emphasis on the user experience including user interface, data manipulation and potentially back-end services. You will be responsible for taking charge of the testing efforts for a variety of projects that will be rolled out this year. Other areas of focus include working from design through delivery with PM as well as internal and external Dev and Design teams to deliver a high quality user experience.
Core Job Responsibilities
Create and articulate test strategies and plans for projects you own
Design and implement required test automation
Work with other disciplines to drive required testability support
Extend existing shared test infrastructure as needed
Executing manual, ad hoc and scenario tests as appropriate
Required Qualifications
At least 5+ year experience in both hands-on and automated testing
Previous experience with Test infrastructure and debugging tools. Knowledge of WTT (Windows Test Tool) and/or MITA are a plus.
Experience shipping multiple product releases from start to finish
Proven experience in driving test deliverables and working effectively across groups and disciplines
Strong leadership abilities for both people and projects
Demonstrated customer focus and excellent communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
Previous, broad experience in testing user-facing software on windows.
Familiarity with Windows Presentation Foundation.
Strong technical background in testing, test automation, and experience in .Net framework and C# development
International management/ vendor management experience
