Network Ops Tech Job Description: Smartlink currently has an immediate opening for a Network Ops Tech performing T-1 testing and acceptance. This candidate will also be field support for UMTS transport. The Network Ops Tech should be familiar with Ericsson and Nokia Switch skills that include BSS/BSC knowledge. Required Skills for Wireless Field Technician Job: · Tellabs and Alcatel experience required. No RF required. · One year experience in electronics repair and/or electronics quality/testing. · Ability to perform basic math calculations. · Basic computer skills. · Pass Technician Requirement Exam (general math, cell phone basics, components, schematics, and soldering) with a score of 80% or higher. · This candidate needs to be competent on Tellabs DACS T-berd and Centest test equipment- some Alcatel may be required. · High school diploma or G.E.D. required. · Reliable with a good work ethic. Physical Demands While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms. The position requires the employee to occasionally talk or hear. The position is frequently required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The position requires the employee to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
